A quick guide -

Your stamp is ...

1. Words only - use WORD

2. A picture or logo -

send it to us
as an ATTACHMENT
(first save it as a TIFF file)

Read the notes on the
right to double-check
if you need to.

We will shortly introduce an online ordering system - watch this space.
In the mean time, please use one of the methods below when
emailing your order to us.

Word Document - best for text-only stamps

If you can create your stamp as a document in Word, that's almost
all that's needed to make an excellent stamp - exactly as you've
designed it. But please note the following:

- be sure to work only in black and white, and remove
all colours from the document except BLACK.
- either make your stampdesign the same size as the finished stamp,
OR tell us in the email what the finished size should be.
- avoid using low-resolution clipart

TIFF image - best for artwork created on the computer

If your stamp design is a logo or graphic, perhaps created in Photoshop
or any graphics programme, please note the follwing important points:

- work only in BLACK / WHITE mode (not RGB, CMYK or grayscale);
- work at the highest possible print resolution in bitmap mode (BMP);
- get rid of all LAYERS except the one containing the image;
- do not include any BACKGROUND to the stamp design;
- choose SAVE AS and select TIFF format.

This will give the clearest and sharpest stamp results from your artwork.
Don't worry if you can't follow all the above - you can always pop your
artwork in the post and leave it to us !

Scanned images

Depending on your scanner and the way your computer imports the image,
this will work fine, but please note the following tips:

- set your scanner to scan in GRAYSCALE mode if possible;
- set it at the highest resolution possible;
- after importing, convert it to BITMAP (BMP);
- choose SAVE AS and select TIFF format.

If you follow the above, then attach the document or file to your email and
send it to us, your stamp will quickly be added to our production, and will
probably be despatched shortly.

Remember - using any of the above methods provides you and us with an image which is almost exactly what the stamp will look like.
We will make the stamp exactly as you send it to us. That also
means that we won't make cahnges to your artwork unless you send specific
instructions for alterations - for which there may be a charge.
